Hello there!
Looking for a good brow mascara but don’t know how to find it? Don’t waste your time reading reviews and descriptions, simply check out my ranking and find out which brow mascara is the best, praised by professional makeup artists and consumers and which one I recommend! Welcome to today’s entry.
Why should you consider getting brow mascara?
I would like to start today’s blog post by explaining why I recommend using brow mascara at all, even though many various brow makeup products have appeared on the market lately… pomades, powders, pens, pencils, soaps… They’re all great and deliver different, really cool effects in makeup. In my opinion, however, brow mascara is still number one in terms of quick styling and eyebrow definition while maintaining a natural look. Besides, brow mascara works excellently solo as well as in combination with other makeup products, especially if you’re fans of luscious and full eyebrows. A good brow mascara with many positive reviews will define brow hairs, add expression and will make your look not as “flat”.
How to use brow mascara?
I know that this might be an obvious thing for some people as products of this type are very easy to use and the makeup doesn’t take too long. However, many younger people who are only starting their adventure with makeup might be reading this ranking. That’s the reason why I wanted to explain the process of application: in order to use brow mascara for brow makeup, simply comb through your hairs using a spoolie to give them the desired shape. One layer of mascara is, more often than not, enough but if you need a more expressive effect of three-dimensional hairs, then you should apply another coat of the product. Let it dry and done! The best brow mascara won’t stick your hairs together or get your skin dirty thanks to a refined brush. Does a brow mascara like this even exist? Of course, find out which one is number 1!
My favourite brow mascaras that I recommend – RANKING
What is the best brow mascara? Which one should have its place in your makeup kit? Is there a tested, much-recommended brow mascara? I found the perfect one for myself, gaining numerous glowing reviews online. See for yourselves!
Size: 7ml
Ohh! I could burst into adoration and praise it endlessly because it is unquestionably my best eyebrow mascara… I know you’re waiting for much more specific information so here it is. Why is Nanobrow my favourite brow mascara? It’s because it’s perfected to every detail: it has a fantastic consistency and a great brush, and wonderful, natural-looking shades. Its brown option is simply lovely, neutral and without any brick-coloured undertones like in the case of other brow mascaras. Its advantage is also the caring formula with the addition of silica. The shades are enriched with intense pigments. This brow mascara helps me achieve enhanced and emphasized eyebrows effortlessly and in a flash! Only one coat is needed!
I love it for:
- for the favourable, very attractive price in relation to amazing effects and high quality.
- for not overburdening my hairs or sticking them together.
- I adore the spoolie!
- for JAW-DROPPING makeup that is easy and quick.
- for being long-wear and smudge-free.
- for remarkable rich and intense shades.
- for a visible effect of bushier, thicker, enhanced eyebrows.
I don’t love it for:
for not being available to buy Nanobrow Shape Mascara locally, but I don’t have any problem shopping online.
A quite good brow mascara – BENEFIT Gimme Brow
Size: 3g
Before I discovered Nanobrow I used to do my brow makeup with this brow mascara. Benefit Gimme Brow is a gem among other products and it stands out by having a great formula with many colours to choose from. Benefit helped me discover my favourite shade matching my eyebrow colour excellently. It’s a very popular choice and I think it deserves to be that way although its price is not the best. I spent a fortune trying to achieve nice eyebrows. The brow mascara is equipped with a classic small cone-shaped brush with a wide spacing of bristles – you need some practice before you get good at doing makeup with it: the brow mascara might stick your hairs together a bit at first. It’s worth mentioning that the product colours eyebrows well and boosts volume. Benefit added microfibers to the composition of the brow mascara: they build up the hairs, enhance and thicken them. Many producers use the same technique for regular lash mascaras.
I love it for:
- for my favourite brown shade.
- for a great formula with microfibres.
- for the effect of emphasized brow hairs.
- for the waterproof formula.
- for the classic brush suiting many eyebrow types.
I don’t love it for:
- for a non-budget-friendly price.
- for being available in a small size. It runs out pretty fast.
- for a too wide range of colours. It’s difficult to choose the right one because they’re all so similar.
A rather commonly-recommended brow mascara – Lancome Sourcils Styler Brow
Size: 6,5ml
OK, I know that some of you are probably waiting for an ordinary drug-store brow mascara. Unfortunately… there won’t be any of them in my ranking because of a simple fact: there is no good brow mascara that I could recommend to you, guys, with a clear conscience. I used them but they weren’t great… Many were thrown out after one or two uses and I believe there’s no point in bothering with them. OK, time for another high-end product. Many people claim Lancome is the best brow mascara out there… In my opinion, it’s close to being perfect but there are a few things that would annoy me. Fun fact: this brow mascara was created by a renowned and famous professional makeup artist – Lisa Eldridge. One must admit that she did a fantastic job designing the spoolie because it’s comfortable to use and style with. The shades, on the other side, are rather poorly-pigmented and there isn’t a lot of them so it’s hard to choose something for yourself.
I love it for:
- for the large size which, still, doesn’t compensate for the high price.
- for a really great spoolie.
- for the long-lasting hold and satisfactory looks.
- for being easy to use.
I don’t love it for:
- for not having a darker shade. What should people with dark hair do? Are they disqualified? 😉
- for being overpriced.
A brow mascara full of natural ingredients – Dior Diorshow On Set Brow
Size: 5ml
This waterproof brow mascara is included in my ranking because of two reasons: 1. it colours eyebrows quite well and delivers a decent effect and 2. it contains multiple natural ingredients (90%!)… Well, Dior could have tried and replaced the other 10% with something natural or organic as well… but it’s still pretty good. Additionally, the brow mascara fixes hairs in place and takes care of them as it’s composed of panthenol and biotin. The spoolie is classically-shaped which is a thing I know some people don’t like. The brow mascara is quite a popular choice because of its good formula and its famous brand name.
I love it for:
- for a mainly natural composition.
- for caring aspects: we can find panthenol and biotin here.
- for a pleasant hold.
I don’t love it for:
- a veeeeeery small capacity.
- for an extravagant price.
- for having a limited range of colours (where is a dark shade, monsieur Dior?)
What about you? Do you have a favourite brow mascara that you can say is undoubtedly the best and most effective? If so, describe it in the comments!
